On 30 November, 2017, I bought a new HUAWEI mobile Y3 2017 (IMEI 862558036607608) for my mother from HUAWEI retailer. The mobile handset had a ZONG offer inside mobile handset box offering free Data if new ZONG 4G Sim is inserted inside slot 1 of newly purchased HUAWEI mobile. After few minutes, I also bought new ZONG 4G Sim Number 03136058032 from ZONG retailer and followed the instructions as per free offer leaflet found inside HUAWEI mobile box but did not receive free ZONG data as per offer Yet.
I went to the ZONG retailer and complained. He told me to talk to the HUAWEI retailer. I went to the HUAWEI retailer and complained. He referred me to the ZONG customer service centre. I went to the ZONG customer service centre and they advised me to talk to the ZONG helpline. I called the ZONG helpline and the ZONG helpline representative told me to contact HUAWEI retailer and ask for ZONG Free Data card to avail free Data offer. I again went to the HUAWEI retailer and demanded for Free Data card. HUAWEI retailer referred to the ZONG Free Data offer leaflet which stated that ZONG free Data will be provided automatically provided the customer inserts new ZONG sim inside Slot 1 of new HUAWEI handset and few voice calls are made. Afterwards, I sent several emails to HUAWEI and ZONG through their websites but of no use.
I observed several people with same complaint at ZONG customer service centre. Through this offer, ZONG sold more than a 1 Million new Sims and deceived the consumers by not providing Free Data as per free offer leaflets distributed inside HUAWEI mobile boxes. Consumers bought millions of HUAWEI mobiles and a significant percentage of consumers also bought ZONG new Sims due to attractive Free Data offer.
Large number of consumers are running and calling here and there to resolve Free Data offer issue and wasting their Time, Money, Energy and vital resources. I myself have spent more than Rs. 20000/ to resolve this issue so that thousands of other people don’t have to make repetitive efforts. Kindly resolve ZONG Free Data offer issue.
