COMPLAINT AGAINST ILLEGAL DEDUCATION OF ATM FEE

Subject:COMPLAINT AGAINST ILLEGAL DEDUCATION OF ATM FEE
With profound respects it is stated that I am maintaining my account No.02657900784903 with Habib Bank Ltd., Sir shahnawaz Bhutto Road, Larkana.
02. I have to inform you that ATM fee amounting to Rs.912-00 has been twicely deducted from my aforesaid account during the month of August,2016, as is obvious from the bank statement of August,2016 of my account for the month of August,2016 (copy attached).
03. It is pertinent to mention here that no any request was made by me for providing ATM card during opening the account but the same was forcibly handed over to me by the Bank Authorities. The ATM card was received by me with protest and with the assurance by the Bank Authorities that in future no ATM fee will be deducted from my account.
04. It will not be out of place to mention here that all of sudden the deduction of Rs.1824-00 from my account as the ATM fee has put me in embarrassed position and has breached my trust and confidence in your Bank.
05. Notwithstanding the above mentioned facts it is further added that I have not got the ATM card activated since its issue and never used a single time for operating my account.
06. From the above facts and circumstances it is quite evident that the ATM fee deducted from my account is not genuine and treated as act of snatching money from customers by hook or crook.
07. I think there is no any business rule of Banks for charging ATM fee on the basis that the same is recoverable from every customer whether or not he has been issued ATM card. The rules of State Bank also do not allow any Bank Branch to commit such irregularity under any circumstances whatsoever.
08. The Bank Authorities of Habib Bank Ltd: Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Road, Larkana, were approached for illegal deduction of ATM fee and also were requested to refund the same but they flatly refused and disclosed that the ATM fee has been charged as per policy framed by the Head Office, Habib Bank Limited.
09. You are, therefore, requested kindly to look into the matter and to arrange refund of the ATM fee so deducted from my account otherwise; I shall reluctantly be compelled to approach the appropriate forum for refund of the same.
10. It is regretted to mention here that it was never expected that the performance of your Bank shall be so poor and against the benefits of customers.
11. It is my sincere hope that you will be pleased to look into the matter and will redress my grievance in the best interest of justice.
