Asalamoalikum Sir/ Madam.
On the night between 5th and 6th Aug 2022 at around 2345hrs an order for home delivery was placed which was handled by KFC Cantt Branch Multan.
Details are as under.

Order date and time: 2345hrs (aprox) 5th Aug .
to be delivered at 0030hrs 6th aug. (after 45mins Aprox)
Order : Kentucky Burger upsize deal + Wao Meal Upsized.
Delivery Adress: Fort Colony Multan Cantt .
The rider initially refused to deliver the order at home and forced to pick up the order from the colony gate with an excuse that he is not authorised by KFC Help line and head office to deliver at home.
On inquiring from Help line, a person named Mr Haseeb confirmed that the address is within KFC branch delivery radius and will be delivered at home and there is no restriction from help line or head office not to deliver at home.
Later the branch manager Mr Zain called in to confirm that his riders are not allowed to enter the colony by guards at the gate therefore please pick up the meal at the colony main gate.
Mr. Zain was assured that the guards at the gate have been informed to let the rider enter the colony, and they will also acompany the rider to exact home adress to save time, there will be no problem, however the rider must be wearing a Helmet and have a CNIC or any identification with him.
The issue kept under discussion for more than 2 hours and the branch kept on insisting to pick up the order from colony main gate after midnight whereas he was time and again reassured that the rider will be allowed by the guards to enter.
At around 0145hrs ( 2 hours after the order was placed ) the rider reached the main gate and called his branch supervisor Mr Zain that he has been stopped by the guards at the gate.
The rider never called the customer for any sort of confirmation. Mr Zain was asked to share the riders number which he refused aswell, the guards at the gate were contacted and they said there is no rider who has reached the gate.
Mr Jamal instantly reached the main gate where the rider claimed he was standing, Mr Jamal found the rider standing 50 yards short of the gate, on inquiry the guards HAD NOT stopped the rider and the rider himself on his own stopped 50 meters before the main gate calling his manager to create a hue and cry pretending that he is not allowed to enter. When asked, the rider had no answer as to why he stopped and confirmed that he he did not even aproach the gate to enter the colony and the guards had not stopped him.
The rider was asked for his name and he gave the name ASIF (which I believe was a fake name) where as the Branch manager Mr zain told the riders name was INAM, when asked to show his ID, he refused to show any sort of ID declaring that he is not in possession of any kind of ID. The rider refused to share his contact number aswell.
The rider further confirmed that his branch manager Mr Zain instructed him not to enter the residential colony declaring if he delivered once they will have to deliver everyone inside the colony where as its a common ongoing practice by KFC to deliver the order at the gate for their own ease.
Further the order was being cancelled by KFC for the reason being food delayed due to obstruction in entring colony of the customer. which was not the case and the rider for his own ease declared it.
Following is highly regretted
1. The delay in order delivery for more than 2 hours.
2. the refusal of the KFC Cantt branch to deliver order at home without any justified reason, as there is no SOP of the colony to stop delivery riders at main gate, rather the guards were informed and coordinated to not only let the rider enter but to escort the rider to exact home location.
3. Regardless of Informing that the rider must be in posession of ID card, which was confirmed by Mr Zain ( KFC Branch Manager) the rider had no identification on him.
4. Rider not contacting customer for confirmation of order or for any assistance required in reaching home adress.
5. Refusal of Mr Zain to share the rider’s phone no. so that he can be contacted and assisted to reach home adress.
6. False claims by the Rider that he has been stopped at the gate .
7. False claims by the rider that there are more than 3 Check posts to reach home where as there is only 1 guard check post at the main gate.
8. Branch Manager (Mr Zain) is extremly incompetent in handling his riders and to clarify the situation to assist his customers for food delivery at door step where as there was absolutely no obstruction from the Main gate guards to stop the rider which was confirmed by Mr Jamal on ground reaching the scene.
THE KFC is a renowned Food Chain In the Whole World not just Pakistan.
such like incidents and unprofessional attitude by the KFC Mulatan cantt branch is not only undermining the KFC reputation but also a lack of trust in the brand name itself.
It is therefore requested to kindly initiate a thorough inquiry at the headoffice on the incident.
as a Consumer i have a lot of faith in the KFC pakistan, and hope that the issue will be adressed by Your Headofffice to my satisfaction without a need to fuether escalate the situation to a consumer court.
