Dear Sir,
K – Electric put out a scheme in February 2017 in which the client’s bill would be reduced by half and a monthly installment would be planned out to pay the remaining half. We applied for the scheme and a monthly installment of 30K was set. We paid the installment from Feb – July. We paid around 62,000 on July 25th to wind-up the installment plan but it didn’t appear on the records of K-Electric. The very next day K-Electric cut our power and said that according to their records we have been stealing as in (Kunda) even though we paid all the installments of K-Electric! They told us they will set up a new meter so we need to pay 128,000 more. After availing discount we paid up to 60,000 for the new meter which is also shown in your records. After that we didn’t receive a bill till the month of October 2017. When we received it, it showed a balance of 62,000 to be paid for the month of July + 128K as a previous due!, and what happened to scheme for which we paid all those installments for? Our dues should be all cleared by now. We CAN NOT pay anymore. And now in November we received a bill of Rs. 259,302 K stating that we used 58,147 units!! We are not running a factory here! We can’t use this many use units. We don’t even have any heavy machinery at home which would consume so much power. Our incomes are not enough to pay all these bills…
