I was an employee of PTCL. When I retired I had opened Freedom A/c.in HBL.Taimurya Mrkt.Br. and deposited some money from pension so that when ever will be needed will be drawn.
These days when my daughter’s marriage is to be held shortly, I went to draw some money from my account on 15th instant. I inquired my balance the staff did not mentioned that the account was in-active, but when i presented cheque for cash, It was said that account was in-active. I was taken as the account will be in-active if not operated for 12 months as in other bank prevailing.
I at once applied for activation and produced my original CNIC and a form was filed in and signed by me by a Bank Officer Mr.Anwar Ansari on 15th August 2016 at about 10:30 hours. and he further mentioned that come tomorrow and you will get money.
Since then I am regularly calling, whether status of my account cleared or not. But still in vein.
I am much in trouble as I have to purchase Furniture, Fridge, washing Machine etc for marriage of my daughter.
HBL High Officers would be kind enough to look into the matter on humanitarian ground and solve the problem on priority bases.
