A policy with the following details was purchashed from EFU Life Assurance lts.

F.Name:- Habib Ullah

Date of Birth 20-05-1983

NIC No. 17301-2633130-3

Policy number:- 544702/226-UBE

All the premiums were paid in time. Howevr after the assisantion of the policy holder, the matter was taken up with the company for transferring the benefits to the nominee of the policy holder (Widow of the Policy Holder) through email. It was directed by the company through return email to fill in a form and furnish some documents through courier so that the claim may be processed. The forms were accordinlgy filled in and all the related documents were furnished. Thereafter they demanded additonal documents, which were also furnished accordinlgy. After some times the representative of the company visited the locality of the policy holder and got the relevant information. Thereafter they made calls on different occassion and demanded further additional documents, which were accordinlgy provided. They many times summoned the nominee (Widows of the deceasesed Policy Holder) to their local office based on Peshawar and interviewed her even during her Iddat Period. They intimated many times that that was the last time there were demanding documents and the claim will be settled in few days, but those few days turned to few months and we are feared that it may turn to few years keeping in view the un professional and lethargic attitude of the employees of the company. The last time they demanded Police Challan, which is a restricted documents and they were told that Challan is a confedential documents, which the police never provide to any one. However on their insistance, the Police Challan was somehow managed and provided to them. Even still the out come of the process is not know despite of lapse of more than 1 years. The following documents have already been provided to the company, but they are not ready to transfer the benefit to the nominee of the Policy Holder.

1. FIR Copy 2. Post Martum Report. 3. Death Certificate. 4. Attested Copies of CNIC of the Policy Holder and Nominee. 5. Cancellation of CNIC of the Policy Holder. 6 Police Challan of the case. 7 and many more documents.

It is worth recalling here that the representatives of the company had visited the locality of the deceased Policy Holder and have witnessed the spot, the grave of the deceased and had examined some people. They on many occassion promised that it was the last document they were demanding and the claim will be paid in 10 to 15 or 20 days. However it appear that the company just want to create problem to the nominee so that she is disappointed and stop pursuing it. The last document which they demanded was Police Challan in the case, which was very diffuclty provided and they had promised that it was the last document required for processing of the claim and the claim will be setlled in 10 days. However despite of laps of more than 02 months, no progress has been intimated and when contacted they infomred that they will examine that and that person through telephone and will do that and that.

It is exteremly awkward that the response of the company to its clients is only cordial when they have to collect the premium and they are very quick in it and never compromise on its collection. But when they have to pay the claims of the policy, they deliberatly create hurdles of very complex nature so as to disappoint the claiment and usurp the policy. The possiblity of some of the employees of the Insurance Company of the embezzlement of the claims may also be not ruled out, which in future may bring damages of sever nature to the reputation of the company.. The matter needs to be brought into the notice of the company Chief Executive in order to save the face of the company. The claiment reserves the right to knock the door of the Court for payment of the policy along with interest and other measures deems appropirat.

Sorry for any hard words, but this Insurance Company has brought about mental toruture of unprecedented magnitude to the nominee of the Policy Holder.
