Several months ago when I made a COD delivery from Daraz with a request to contact me 1 hour prior to delivery to ensure my presence at the address for receipt of delivery ,they failed to respect this request and in fact also failed to arrive at the address with the package. One courier made repeated nuisance calls late at night as well.
I was compensated about 1600/- for this repeated nuisance which meant I was unable to make COD payment option because my cancellation rate was high (simply due to the Daraz riders making repeated FAKE , so-called deliveries.
After I was able to use the compensation from the Account Wallet the COD option ‘opened’ so I attempted to place orders again.
Out of these most recent 4 orders only the third was successful because they used the alternative Leopard courier. For the second order the retailer offered to use Daewoo Fastex who also delivered successfully . With the first order the Daraz courier insisted that I hand over the COD payment EVEN BEFORE I COULD CHECK that the parcel details
ID and price were correct and refused to hand it over when I explained that it was my total right to check these details before I made payment!! So hence again the Daraz riders made failed deliveries due which the COD option got blocked again.
Now Daraz say I have to make an online pre-payment to open the Daraz COD option which I will absolutely refuse to do because
1) THE CANCELLATION RATE IS ENTIRELY DARAZ’S FAULT AND SUCH SHODDY SOFTWARE IS NOT THE CUSTOMER’S FAULT
2) I HAD BEEN WRONGLY OVERCHARGED ON A DARAZ PACKAGE BEFORE (WRONG PRICE LABELLING) AND DO NOT WISH TO FACE THAT RISK AGAIN.
Another person ordered at the same address and had the same experience with the couriers who corruptly insisted on payment without giving the customer person to check the correct parcel order details . THIS IS EXTORTIONATE BEHAVIOUR AND DARAZ MUST BE PENALISED FOR IT
