The whole turkey I took to the till had the following information on it:
per kg weight = 3199.00
product weight = 2.366
In the price label, it is correctly marked as 7568.80 (that is, 3199 x 2.366 – the per kg weight multiplied by the actual weight)
But at the till I was told that the actual price was Rs21000 and the floor manager would not listen saying some nonsense about the per kg weight being different because it’s imported.
This is ridiculous as well as probably violating pricing laws.
I have photographic evidence of the label.
I should be able to buy the product at the price it is marked in your store and not something made up by those at the till, where there is no proper accounting of where the money is going.
