Assalamoalaikum
I intended to draw Rs.20,000 through my ATM card on Friday Sep 15, 2017 at ca 8.30 pm, but the transaction failed without getting any money. With a second transaction request, of the same amount i.e. Rs.20,000, the situation remained the same and with the third request with even a smaller amount,Rs.10,000, the transaction was unsuccessful. Since I was in dire need of money,using the same ATM machine and the debit card of a different bank, I attempted another transaction of Rs.20,000 that was successful instantly. Shortly after that I received 3 different text messages from 8287 on my cell phone, mentioning that Rs. 20,000, 20,000, 10,000 have been debited from my account. When back home I called 021 111 225 111 and explained the situation to the person online ( sorry, I forgot his name) who satisfied me that all the transactions of money ( Rs.50,000) will be reversed within 24 hours. As it was already weekend, I patiently waited for Monday (Sep 18) and discussed the issue with the personnel at KhyabaneSirsyed branch who again satisfied me saying that it will be reversed in next 24 hours. But nothing happened. When I did not get any message till Tue evening, I got a mini statement from the same ATM machine which showed me the same balance, i.e with no reversal. Today (Sep 20, 2017, 9.30 am) I went to KSS branch again after 2 days and launched an online complaint with the help of Operational Manager to which I was informed that the reversal will be done within 5 days.
I fail to understand that in this age of IT, a bank like Alflah, providing online banking services to a huge number of clients, will still take 5 more days to address such a minor complaint specially when the bank branch and the ATM machine are located in the same premises.
Looking forward to an immediate reversal of my unsuccessful transactions.
