Subject: reverting back my amount Rupees 43000 lost through the TAM card of the main Branch of National Bank of Pakistan of Khairpur Mir’s.
Most respectfully it is submitted that I have a PLS account No. 2228-6 opened in the National Bank of Pakistan main Branch at Khairpur Mir’s. where I have had been making Bank transactions since almost last two decades smoothly. Rather ,on the 1st of November 2016 somebody deceptively took my National Bank ATM Card when I was wondering to some other Banks due to being out of order/ Link down the ATM machine of the NBP main Branch (as the link of the ATM machine of the NBP main Branch Khairpur usually remains down ) I noticed that Somebody has changed my ATM card with his ATM card soon I tried to contact with the Help Line of the NBP 021111627627 but despite several calls I was not responded by the so called Help Line where often the computerise advertisements are set to on air . So on the next day I went to the Bank manager of the NBP main Branch Khairpur of which I have the ATM Card in order to get stopped my ATM card, so that no body may draw the amount from my Account , but he replied in the negative, and told me that, to stop any ATM card is the matter of the help line I,e that of the 021111627627. And I tried my best to contact on the given number but all in vain. As the help line remained busy often. After a long sojourn of few days I succeeded in contacting with the Help Line of the NBP i ; e 021111627627 number till then Rupees 43500 were drawn from my account, and when I complained of that with the person who was available there on the Help Line assured me of the return back my amount on the Phone via a message sent to me on Good Friday at 11- 17 am which reads as “ Dear Customer, your complain number 2175031 is in process and the NBP will revert to you at the earliest pl call 021111627627 for any query” . And again a similar message was sent to me which reads as “ Dear Customer, your complain number 2175032” is in process and the NBP will revert to you at the earliest pl call 021111627627 for any query” also third time a message was sent to me of the complaint number 2175033(besides the responding person also told that I will get back my amount) But ,all proved to be the fake promise .In between I also received a phone call from the representative of the NBP at Karachi who told me that Rupees 500/five hundreds have been reverted into my Account No 2228-6 and similarly the other remaining claimed amount will also be reverted back in to my Account so I shall not worry about . I also lodged my complain at the Branch Manager and also at the police station and I submitted the copy at the Branch manager so that he may give me a forwarding letter for the Branch manager of the Bank from where my amount was drawn as shown in the Bank Statement so that I may take efforts to get back my amount as well as I may find the thief / decipher .But I was not cooperated any way by the Branch manager in the capacity of being the customer .But was promised to get back my amount with in thirty days .
But all the promise proved to be fake and the deception. As at the last I am sent a message by the so called help Line that the “Complain number 2175033 has been resolved and nothing about the complaint number 2175031 and 2175032 . If any queries regarding the please contact NBP Call centre I; e the Number 021111627627” where one has to wait often for the half an hour to be connected with the attendant otherwise the caller is bound to listen the advertisement only
My plea is that despite the availability of the CC. TV cameras at the ATM machines neither I was given any letter for the Branch Manager from where my amount was drawn nor did the NBP took any initiative to identify the person who drew amount from the different banks using my ATM card even though I frequently requested to the manager of the NBP main Branch Khairpur where I have my Bank Account, But despite of the CC. TV facility neither the manager tried himself nor he gave me any letter for the concerned Branch managers from where my amount was drawn . Had the manager taken prompt measures I would have been saved of the loss, but neither the Bank manager nor the so called help line took any effective measure to help me in getting back the amount.
My request is that, I may be given back my lost amount Rupees 43000 along with the expenses incurred on the correspondences as Rupees 500 five hundreds have already been reverted back into my Account. And till that, either the Branch manager may be suspended or even the functioning of the NBP Khairpur main Branch may be stopped as it has failed in delivering the transparent transaction and also the Help Line I, e 021111627627 which is the official complain cell of the National Bank of Pakistan kept me ‘in the dark” by promising via the messages to revert back the amount with in thirty days, but has turned away from the promise, may also be ”brought to the book” for making lies with the customers.
