I had taken this misfortune to open an account at MCB Bank Siara Center,Phase 4, DHA-Karachi branch. All transactions were clearly
discussed with MCB bank manager, Tanoli. Debit card was late
after series of complaints although charges were deducted
immediately. After receiving debit card, a customer service
officer briefed some benefits regarding reward points, but
never, ever these points were received and horribly to claim
card was activated with wrong information. Lack of trained
staff terrorized on and off to visit and call the call
center but problems were created more and more.
Internet banking was never operational
with the account though several settings were asked,
manually and through talks with branch manager. I had to sit
with branch manager to open internet banking interface at
bank premises computer but he refused telling me that there
is a software problem with my account. Ultimately, I updated
information, filled up forms on hard copies and several
hours spoke to call center agents, unskilled, speaking the
specific rote-learned template words and satisfying me by
telling apologizes in a sweet manner, all fake words. To the
extent of time SMS BANKING was frequently disrupted and
transactions were not to be noted on my cellphone. The bank
manager always kept blaming cellular companies and my smart
phone to have errors, but years passed, there were no
resolutions. All complaints are registered with MCB via call
center, visit to branch and frequent email. Anand was next
cruel offense to my account settings with whom I sat down
for hours at the bank to set my account to proper settings
and he claimed, acknowledged with complete accomplishment of
fulfillment by attributing that ‘all work is up-to-date and
updated with your account, so you can go with peace of mind’.
