About 6 months back I returned after 17 years of working in Gulf. I live in bedian road, back then it was still kind of rural area with few farm house around. But now it’s almost part of the latest defence phase and there is huge Elite police academy just ahead of us. THis is now quite developed area.
I left when we had dial up modem and could barely load up a page. I came back to house which has 4Mbps (at least) broadband connection. I was happy that at least it was still passable coming down from 20Mbps speeds I was used to as an expat.
My happiness was short lived and would face multiple disruptions in a week. I still managed to bear it. But as months passed things started going from bad to worse. Frequent disconnections and sometimes lasting hours. More than doz complaints during teh months later the problems persisted. THeir line man was coming also and getting some bakshish for job done, which would again become faulty after few weeks. THen during the line cut phase which half the country faced we had no net for 10 or so days.
After that was fixed we had 1Mbps speeds for many days. THen it got restored but again frequent disconnections. More than 4 visits to their CS center and complaints still havent’ solved the issues. THey still require us to pay full 4500Rs per month with service working for about 15 days in total.
I play online games online but stopped the 32v32 ones since ping is so high i feel like playing as a rubber band. Even 1v1 mobile type game I can’t play as every 3rd or 4th game I lose as i sometimes can’t even launch my attack on other player while he takes out my bases.
If we were outside I would have filed case in consumer court but here I have no idea what to do except complain to them and now would start putting this info on more social media and news papers. Hope these pathetic people can justify their earnings from the consumers by providing the service as it’s meant to be.
